After six consecutive losses to the Auburn Tigers, and having never won an Iron Bowl on the home field at Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Crimson Tide overwhelmingly defeated Auburn 36-0 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It was the largest margin of victory in an Iron Bowl since 1962.
