In his inaugural season as head football coach at Auburn University,
Terry Bowden's Tigers finished a perfect 11-0. To commemorate his
unprecedented feat, artist Hess has captured Auburn's perfect season
in his artwork, "The Perfect Beginning." From his original oil painting,
this print features National Coach of the Year, Terry Bowden, Auburn's
all time passing leader Stan White, All American Wayne Gandy, former
walk-on and all time field goal accuracy leader Scott Etheridge, and
All SEC running back James Bostic.

in the storied history of Auburn University in the "Victory Kick."
The painting documents the drama and intensity of Jaret Holmes 39
yard field goal with 15 seconds to play giving Auburn an 18 - 17 victory
over Alabama. The numbers on the jerseys represent the year, 97, the
score of the game, 18-17, and the number of consecutive wins over
Alabama in Jordan-Hare Stadium, 4. Included with each Signature Edition
