Homecoming at the University of Illinois is the longest continuously running tradition of its kind. The Homecoming tradition has been celebrated on the Illinois campus for more than 100 years, since the inaugural event in 1910. In its first Homecoming game, Illinois beat the University of Chicago, 3-0.
