The Indianapolis 500® Mile Race has been one of America's
great sporting traditions since 1911. The Indy 500®, which is part of
the Indy Racing League® IndyCar® Series, takes place each Memorial Day
weekend and is the largest attended -day sporting event in the
world. The Speedway also hosts the annual Allstate® 400 at the
Brickyard® NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race and the United States Grand
Prix at Indianapolis®, part of the Formula One World Championship. |
