Centered is historic Husky Stadium, which was originally opened in 1920 and is now the largest stadium in the Pacific Northwest with a capacity of 72,500. Overlooking Union Bay on scenic Lake Washington to the east and the Olympic Mountains to the west, the stadium is unique in that fans can attend games by boat. The University was founded in 1861 in Seattle, Washington, and it is the oldest public University on the west coast with student enrollment of 42,900.
Over the years the Washington Huskies have won 15 Pacific-10 Conference Championships and 7 Rose Bowl Titles, and can lay claim to 4 National Championships.
