Talladega Superspeedway April 21, 2002. On April 21, 2002, Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Aaron's 499 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. The victory was his first of the season and the second in a string of four consecutive wins he would achieve at the track.
