Celebrating the Iconic ballparks of yesterday and today, this vintage print shows the historic ballparks of Detroit. Printed using archival inks on heavyweight paper, these prints are rated to be light fast for 72 years under glass.
The copy reads:
BENNETT PARK 1896 – 1911 Fans across the street enjoyed the view until thwarted by hanging canvas strips.
NAVIN FIELD 1912 – 1937 The same site as Bennett Park, but home plate was shifted to the third base side of the field. Tiger Stadium in its earliest state.
TIGER STADIUM 1938 – 1999 Once it was completely enclosed with two decks it was one of the most intimate parks in all of baseball.
COMERICA PARK Est. 2000 After being cooped up for so long in Tiger Stadium, fans yearned for more space and got it.
